Making A Difference

More Than A Minority is a brand and movement. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit provides essential college and career services for people of color, empowering them to succeed and thrive.

We firmly uphold the belief that every individual transcends mere labels or statistics. Our mission is to foster a diverse and inclusive community where each person is appreciated for their distinctive viewpoints and contributions. We adamantly oppose the idea that one's value is determined by being a minority, and instead, we are committed to empowering everyone to achieve their utmost potential.

More Than A Minority is dedicated to empowering individuals from underrepresented minority communities by providing access to higher education and career development resources.

We aim to create a world where everyone has an equal opportunity to achieve their full potential, regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.

Our vision is to create a future where individuals from underrepresented minority communities have the same opportunities for success as their peers.

We envision a society where the diversity of our communities is reflected in all aspects of our educational and professional institutions.

Through our work, we strive to break down barriers and create a pathway to success for all individuals, regardless of their background.

Empower individuals to break free from labels and reach their full potential by breaking down systemic barriers to higher education and career success.

We teach historically marginalized people how to navigate systems of oppression strategically.

  • College Preparation Workshops: We offer workshops and seminars to help students navigate the college application process, including assistance with essay writing, SAT/ACT preparation, and financial aid applications.
  • Career Exploration Events: We organize events where people of color can learn about various career paths through panels, guest speakers, and networking opportunities.
  • Community Engagement Programs: We engage with local communities through outreach programs, events, and partnerships to raise awareness about educational and career opportunities for minorities and foster support for their success.
  • Professional Development Workshops: We host workshops tailored specifically for minorities that focus on professional skills development, such as resume building, interview skills, communication skills, and networking strategies.
