More Than A Minority is a brand and movement. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit provides essential college and career services for people of color, empowering them to succeed and thrive.

We teach historically marginalized people how to navigate systems of oppression strategically.

 

PROGRAMS

• College Preparation Workshops: We offer workshops and seminars to help students navigate the college application process, including assistance with essay writing, SAT/ACT preparation, and financial aid applications.
• Career Exploration Events: We organize events where people of color can learn about various career paths through panels, guest speakers, and networking opportunities. 
• Community Engagement Programs: We engage with local communities through outreach programs, events, and partnerships to raise awareness about educational and career opportunities for minorities and foster support for their success.
• Professional Development Workshops: We host workshops tailored specifically for minorities that focus on professional skills development, such as resume building, interview skills, communication skills, and networking strategies.

 

OUR FOUNDER & CEO:  JASMINE ROSE WALKER

 

Jasmine Rose Walker is the visionary behind the organization "More Than A Minority." Recognizing the systemic barriers faced by minority communities in accessing education and career opportunities, Jasmine founded the organization with the mission of providing support and resources to underrepresented groups. 

 She was formally trained at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Emory University. Her education shapes her public health perspective and provides best practices for breaking down systemic barriers. Through her tireless efforts and innovative programs, More Than A Minority has become a leading advocate for equal education and employment opportunities, making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals.
